π°GBM's Summer Quarter 2025 Updates & News!π°
...Because I actually didn't forget to do it this time; on time!
Hello hello NG's!
How is everyone doing since the last post? I hope well and healthy! (Stay hydrated; and wash your hands damn it!)
I have been an exceptionally busy squirrelman for the past few months. And it definitely shows with what uploads I have made to my channel recently, and my streaming days on Twitch increasing as I take a small break. A rewarding respite from the amount of work I have done this year thus far, I do believe is in order!
But until that time; boy oh boy do I have a plethora of stuff to share in this entry. From a part two episode to the Titan Expedition Arc (TDNP) to several new tracks and creative ventures that just keep coming and coming! I am excited to share with you all the highlights of the quarter past since the Spring entry. And to announce what's to come until the Autumn quarter!
πΏοΈThe Titan Expedition Arc: The Story Continues!
and the plot thickens...
After a few months of script writing, voice work, head-desking trying to find the right SFX that are free to use (Thanks to my community for giving me some pointers!), music making, editing, and several PC related issues due to how old this potato actually is; the second part to the TDNP: Titan Expedition Arc is finally finished, and out now on Newgrounds for those who have been waiting ever so patiently!
Part three, and the final part of the Titan Expedition Arc, will be released approximately in Late August - Early September at best. Since this series is all done by one person, and not a giant team of other talented folks; expect the months long wait time between episodes. I want to take as much time with this passion project as possible, not only to ensure it comes out sounding amazing, but to also showcase everything I am capable of in audio production to the best of my ability, at my own pace.
With the second part finished, marks the end of Season Four of TDNP, and marks a turning point in the series creative direction going forward, as we move on to Season Five at the end of the summer. I am so excited to explore even further with you all (and our brave hosts!) in a brand new, unending journey across our universe.
Using astronomical research and theory (NASA, Cassini, JWT, and other current methods of discovery and research), and a sprinkle of Sci-Fi and my universe's lore, I hope the next five seasons and more, provide my audience joy, encourages curiosity, and provides a fun yet informative dive into the universe I have been making since I was in middle school. Back when Glowboy and Doctor Glow were just blocky drawings on the back of my Math and Science books i use to do after I had finished my assignments, and the concept of them coming to life felt like a dream beyond my reach.
Despite how long it had taken to finish, it was received well by the community. We had an Audio Showcase on Twitch, and we previewed both Part One, and Part Two respectively. We also went into a little bit of the lore surrounding our hosts, and what their purpose is, and their ultimate goal in this long, arduous journey across our known universe.
I have always been interested and invested in astronomy, astrophysics, and everything to do with the things beyond our cosy planet, ever since I was 6 years old. If I am not making music, streaming, voice acting, or doing anything with my work; I am always studying and reading about our incredible universe... or watching hundreds of cat videos until my eyes become raisins.
My dream was to one day work in the astronomy field. But my life had other plans. So I decided to merge both my interest in the subject, and the universe I created for many years; into one. And thus; The Misadventures of Doctor Glow and The Doctor's Note's Podcast was born!
After testing the waters, and evolving the sound of my work for the past 5 years of its online existence, I can finally and confidently start my more creative, and frankly more exciting, ventures. I can finally feel good about my project again, and create content that I would want to listen to; letalone what you the audience would want to listen to.
Following the recent second part, also followed two soundtrack uploads from the episode, both the intermission track here, and an easter egg track here. Each part will also come with a short to moderate episode summary, in order to provide context, and further explanation. So do give 'em a read! And I hope to see you guys in August or September in the final part!
πΏοΈA Year Of Giving Back: Continued.
Because giving back to those who provide unto thee; is important in times of uncertainty.
With UncleAliVA's Tavern Tape's almost being complete (Just three more tracks to go, resuming on the 26th of this month!) , it is time that this squirrelly bard moves on to find another creator to take on a realtime musical journey, whilst also supporting them, their communities, and their works in the process! And my sights have been set recently on a pretty awesome individual by the name of ThePeacefulBox on Twitch.
Their clever storytelling, and their equally as well written lore surrounding their own universe, had me reading back on all of the current chapters so far whenever I got the chance to sit down. And of course, I got inspired. So I then made music revolving around their lore, based on specific chapters or key moments, and sent them over to them on their Discord.
Not only did they like it, they have shown off some of my work already to their own community, and it was well received and loved. I feel so honoured whenever another creator decides to show my work to the world, and they are never obligated to do so whenever I do send them music, but it was truly such a wholesome moment to be told by one of his community members that they heard my music on a previous stream that I missed, and that I should go check it out.
This is what I came across the moment I stumbled upon it. And I am so happy that I made another creator happy.
The support I have received from both Ali and Box has been no more than incredible and commendable. And I am more than happy to provide some kind of moment away from all of the worlds noise through my own creative medium.
Since there will be more music for Box coming in the near future, I have decided to make a playlist dedicated to those pieces. Go check it out here for the first few pieces already done!
Before I close this section of the post, people have asked me often this one question: "Why do you go around giving music to creators like that? Aren't you scared of rejection/criticism/outright insult being received back; rather than joy?"
And my answer, was literally written in the page description of my piece Where Everywhere; is Nowhere:
Sharing art, brings communities together. Whether that be music, paintings, drawings, acting, etc. All art should be shared, and even gifted between other creators from time to time. From my own experience, it has brought nothing but positivity and smiles towards the creators I gift my music to, and their communities, in a world of constant uncertainty, fear, and extremism. To give someone a moment of rest between the burdening ides of the current world; brings me nothing but comfort to myself as a result. In order to be at peace with yourself; you have to bring that same peace you want onto others. Regardless of where you stand politically, ethically, or societally; we must take charge as artists to bring each other together. Not just to network, but to support, care, and create for each other.
Itβs not everyday creators of all kinds and creeds get a gift or a thanks. So I am taking that moment to do this not just for myself, but for the creative community, and their audiences, that need this moment of generosity.
And with that, I also encourage other artists of all skill, races, creed, colour, sexual orientation, social status, and financial avenues; to give back to one another this year. No matter how big, or small. The world will be a colourful, brighter, and happier place if we all shared our crafts, and lifted up each other. For thousands of years, artists have been the backbone for telling humanity's story. And while we may not be the main characters shifting the course of human progression and time, we are responsible for archiving it in ways that no journalism could ever conceive - society's raw unbridled emotions and feelings, carefully curated in ink, paint, prose, poetry, music, performing arts & comedy, animation, etc.
So until the music stops, the colours run dry, the laughs become silent, and the writers wrist is no more; we must stand united. In a world that leaves us at a standstill almost on a regular basis it seems, we must help each other to keep moving forward, and to keep creating, no matter what happens around us.
πΏοΈTwitch Ventures: GBM's Path To Affiliate!
You won't be disappointed at the perks that follow!
So, it appears that I have been collecting a steady, and small community on Twitch as of recent. As of writing this post, we are 3 followers away from 50 followers. A manageable number honestly. And I really don't expect to blow up massively anytime soon if I am honest. And if I do; then consider me one very lucky squirrel.
But! I do want to try and achieve one thing by the end of 2025 - and that is to finally become an affiliate on Twitch.
If you want to get to know me as a Newgrounds creator, whilst also enjoying a variety of different fun and enjoyable games and other media together; then do please come on down and become a Nutcase today at our humble little Nuthouse! π°πΏοΈ
Once we reach affiliate, many wonderful things will happen over time while the nutcases sleep soundly:
- π°Channel Point Rewards: Channel Points (In the form of 'Nuts π°') will finally become available, and you can finally do everything from applauding my 'GG's', laughing at my expenses, encouraging my dry humoured ass to hydrate, interact even more with the Stream kitty mascot (yes, we have one.), to being able to request a free custom MP3 of whatever you want! (as long as it follows copyright laws.)
- π°Cheers & Bits Rewards: These will also become available, and they help to support me as a creator. Perks and rewards for these will be announced in the fall.
- π°Stream Glow Up: A new icon, a new banner, new Twitch alert sounds, and some oil changes will be done over time in order to make the viewer experience even shinier and newly polished!
- π°The Introduction of the GBM Twitch Radio Station: An entire radio station of all of my current music works over the years will be broadcasted as BGM on my streams, and not just one or two selected tracks for certain moments or occasions. if you are a Newgrounds audio creator, you can even apply for your music to be broadcasted on my channel for promotional reasons. More about this will be announced in the fall!
Currently for now, we are playing Deltarune through all four chapters. Chapter one is already complete, and starting Tuesday; we will begin on Chapter Two! If you would like to see me go through this wonderfully wacky universe lovingly curated by Toby Fox, then come on down on 06/17 @ 7:30am GMT+2 and join in on the fun and laughs that this little community brings without fail!
πΏοΈExtra Updates!
...With 25% more yappin'!
Over the past few months, I have been absolutely dragging my nose through the grindstone. So much work was done, and yet there is still so much to do! From more OST to finish for the hired project I am a part of (Lover's Fable), to a final yet longer episode of the Titan Expedition Arc to begin production with, to even more music to come. We will definitely not be short of exciting new uploads!
That being said, there is only just one bit of somewhat sad news. I have been made aware that NGUAC has officially begun. However, this year is going to be so busy for me, that I will not have the time to participate in this years competition. However, I wish all participants, new and old, past, present, and future; the best of luck! And have fun! I will most likely be ready for participation next year! And I will be lurking in the audio portal to hear all of your marvellous creations and submissions in the meantime! Thanks again to @TaintedLogic for the invitation regardless, and good luck to you and the judges of this years NGUAC event!
Also, A BIG JUICY SHOUTOUT to everyone who made Low Poly Day 2025 one of the most colourful and incredibly creative days ever! You are all massively talented, and I look forward to yet many, many more Low Poly Day's in the future! Big ups to @TomFulp once again for keeping both my cashew stash full, and the site a fun and wonderful place with all these events that will go down in history. Good show, folks.
Until the next quarter, friends and strangers alike!
Mad love; always.
